01 Collect
It starts with resources that still have a use.
We connect with hospitals, clinics, organizations, and individual donors to identify usable, in-date medical supplies and equipment that can stay in circulation.

Ann Arbor, Michigan / Sustainability first
We connect usable medical supplies and equipment with underserved Michigan communities and Michigan organizations providing aid abroad.
Sustainability is our foundation.
Healthcare access starts close to home.

Why we’re here

Usable, in-date supplies and equipment can be discarded in Michigan while our neighbors lack access to those same resources. Project Resurge works to close that gap.
Sustainability is our foundation. We work to keep usable, in-date medical supplies and equipment out of Michigan’s waste stream and connect them with underserved communities in Michigan and Michigan organizations providing aid abroad.
More about our missionFrom surplus to use
01 Collect
We connect with hospitals, clinics, organizations, and individual donors to identify usable, in-date medical supplies and equipment that can stay in circulation.

02 Prepare
Volunteers organize donated medical supplies and equipment, helping prepare them for their next use. It takes time, care, and attention to condition and expiration dates.

03 Redistribute
We focus on underserved Michigan communities and Michigan organizations providing aid abroad. Our goal is to connect usable resources with unmet needs, through redistribution and planned community loan closets.

Less waste. More use.
We want usable medical resources to meet new needs instead of entering the waste stream. Our vision brings together redistribution and community borrowing, with opportunities for permanent equipment placement when appropriate.
Our approachTwo networks we’re working toward
01 / Excess to Access
Connect donated medical supplies and equipment with underserved Michigan communities and Michigan organizations providing aid abroad.
02 / A circular healthcare model
Create a cycle of donation, borrowing, return, and reuse, so one piece of equipment can help more than one person.

The people behind the boxes
Sorting supplies, packing boxes, making connections. The work happens because people give their time.
